This blog is all about...

This Blog is all about...
Well my family of course! My babies are growing up way to fast and I want to remember everything. This helps, when I remember to update it.

But I also love to cook, take pictures, get crafty, and try new things.

My boys get tired of the same thing over and over again so I am constantly trying new recipes. I have started keeping up with them here. The original links are in each post to give credit to the creators. I add my reviews, changes, and pictures (sometimes).

Happy Day Part 1

Cards, cupcakes, and a bath... oh my!

Today you turned three. I can't believe the years are just flying by. Slow down just a little bit will you? I'm just glad you like to snuggle still. You are little Miss Independent, and have the sass to back it up.

Ethan would have had his picture taken if he wasn't trying so hard to be a spectacle. Slathering frosting in your face doesn't fly. Sorry buddy, Mom doesn't play those games. The harder you try for attention the less you get.

Happy Halloween

This was the year for a lot of firsts.
-Layla's first trick or treat, she was sick last year.
-Ethan's first year going out with only friends.
-Gabrielle's first year of really getting the idea of Halloween.

We made Pumpkin French Toast, eggs, and bacon for dinner. Then it was a rush to get dressed and out the door.  Ethan's friends met him at our house so as soon as he was done they were gone.  Thankfully he has a good bunch of kids he was going with and they behaved themselves.

This was definitely a big year for Gabrielle. She understood we get dressed in her costume, go for a walk, go to houses and get candy! After coaching her to knock, say Happy Halloween, and Thank You. She had it down pat by the third house.

Then it was "Mommy, a new house! Happy Ween! (candy in the bag) Thank you! A new house."

When she would try and get shy or quiet I told her that if she didn't say Happy Halloween she didn't get candy, and if she didn't say thank you she'd have to give it back. Needless to say, she didn't need that many reminders.

Layla just wanted to walk the entire time. Not a word was spoken, just a lot of happy  squeals. We brought the stroller, but it was just for us to push apparently, because no one wanted to sit, or let go of their candy bag.

Butterfly (Bfly)

This was suppose to be Gabrielle's costume

Watermelon (Wawa-melon)

The morning after, No she didn't sleep in it.
CANDY!!!

Oh Shhhh

Gabrielle's first bad word.

Oh Shit!

That was Ethan's too.  Wonder where she got that from?!?!?!?!

Layla changed the channel on her and I heard a very clear "Oh Shit! Mommy, Layla broke it."

Of all the times Daddy thought it was funny to say this word or that, and me yelling at him to stop because it was going to come back around and I was going to have to teach you better.  You end up copying me!

I can dress myself

A fun new phase that I don't remember Ethan going through.

Doesn't everyone wear a jacket and tutu?

Sister

Gabrielle is getting the sister thing down. She likes to give Layla a big hug, Layla usually isn't ready for them though. This was a perfect example.

She ram over to her and grabbed her and told her "Layla, you're my sister!" Then they both fall down.

Love my girls!
